Hendersonville Rotary Club is pleased to announce its 2025 fundraiser, Rotary’s Pickleball for a Purpose sponsored by UNC Health Pardee. Rotary’s annual fundraisers help finance teacher grants benefitting K-12 educators in Henderson County’s public and private schools. To date, our Rotary Club proudly has awarded over $600,000 to support innovative educational initiatives through a competitive grant process. 

The Pickleball for a Purpose tournament will bring together pickleball players from Henderson County Parks & Recreation, Hendersonville Racquet Club, Pumphouse Fitness Center, the YMCA of Hendersonville and other pickleball communities. On April 29, Rotary also is sponsoring an Open Tournament for players who don’t play with an established pickleball group. These events in late April and early May are qualifying events with winners playing in Rotary’s Pickleball for a Purpose Finals Tournament on May 17. For all events, players will compete in teams: intermediate and advanced men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Pickleball for a Purpose play is non-sanctioned, which means it isn’t for competitive players looking for ranking points but designed as a fun social event for pickleball players who want to be a part of raising funds for Henderson County teachers. All players pay a one-time fee of $25.
