Strong literacy skills are crucial to student achievement.   That’s why Rotary volunteers, working with WNCSource staff in Henderson County, read weekly to pre-K and kindergarten students to encourage their interest in reading. 

By visiting Head Start classrooms throughout the school year, Rotarians also provide positive role models to children at a formative age.
